From the album American Gypsy

Starting out with a swung beat on the drum set, Home By Mornin’ has an air of bluesiness. A harmonica wails into the refrain without a shred of insecurity. All of the licks are well placed and complement each other nicely. An effortless transition from swung 8th notes to straight 8th notes shows off the tightness and sheer musicianship of the band.

Lyrics

You take what you get
You get what I leave
I get what I like
and I like what I see

I'll be home, I'll be home
I'll be home by mornin'

Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh
I'll be home by mornin'

Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh
I'll be home by mornin' light

Don't ask me where I've been
Don't ask me where I've been
Cause I've been, everywhere
and I've seen, everything

I'll be home, I'll be home
I'll be home, by mornin'

Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh
I'll be home by mornin'

Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh
I'll be home by mornin' light

Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh
I'll be home by mornin'

Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh
I'll be home by mornin' light
